An Eternal Calling

Although this message was meant for husbands and fathers, I thought it was also a great message to the women as well. How can the world be so cruel if our homes are in order? It can't be. What are some things that can make your day to day life at home run more smoothly? I remember as a little girl my mom would have me pick out the clothes that I was going to wear the next day and get them ready. This way, I wasn't scrambling to get ready in the morning and looking for matching socks. They were there and ready to go because I made sure I had them the night before. Simple things like this can make a difference in having a functional yet 'smooth sailing' day. We are all so busy and have to keep up with soccer practice, piano, dance, football, etc., etc. etc., that sometimes life just feels so chaotic! 

This week, lets work on something to change to help our days run a little better. This will help us not be so frustrated and irritable. One thing that works good for my family is "10 minute pickup." Everyday, whenever we get a chance, we pick up things for ten minutes wherever we want. It's amazing how much you can clean in just 10 minutes and if everyone does it, it never gets too messy and everything gets put away! Makes the saturday clean up much easier and helps us all feel a little more organized and less chaotic.

Although none of the ideas I've mentioned are spiritual things we do, they still help us keep our minds and thoughts in order and keep from getting mad at each other and everyone from "driving each other crazy."
