Progressive Garden Tour
We had an outstanding turnout for our Progressive Garden Tour. It was a really fun evening.
The first garden on the tour was to Leisa Munns’. Although I was late and missed Leisa's garden and the treats she served to those who were there, she was so kind to bring me some after the event. Shere made a wonderful cold gazpacho soup and two vegetable pizzas. One of the pizza crusts was made of cauliflower. Everything was really good.
The next garden on the tour was to Karen Kauer’s. I especially remember her huge pumpkins, her wonderful variety of flowers, and her wonderfully manicured lawn.
And last, but not least, was our stop to Woods Gardens. Of course there was lots to see there – greenhouses full of cucumbers and tomatoes, rows and rows of strawberries, asparagus, black berries, and much more. My favorite was the blueberries. Lisa Woods served us fun and yummy petite cucumber sandwiches and then we finished up with dessert – a trifle served with fresh raspberries and Valeen Terry’s famous cookies soaked in milk and covered in whip cream -- Yummy!
I've been told I'll get recipes so as soon as I do, I'll scan them in and post them.
Thanks to all for a wonderful evening
