Organic Produce and Woods Gardens

Woods Gardens is featuring organic produce.  We send out an e-mail once a week telling you what kind of organic produce we can get during the off season.  The produce we raise is all natural, we use a commercial fertilizer, but only use organic pestisides.  We raise strawberries, raspberries, tomatoes,  cucumbers and a variety of other produce.  Currently in the greenhouse we have romaine lettuce and brocolli.  I never was a brocolli fan, but this is amazing stuff.  I'm not sure what is…See More

Local Produce and flowers

Woods gardens has petunias - we've never done flowers before, but we were helping out a school that had a funding cut and lost all their power and water - so we bought all of their petunias - they are only $12.00 a flat - it's almost like stealing them.We should have cucumbers and tomatoes within the next month. YEAH, can't wait!Just a general invitation to all of you in Rexburg and Idaho Falls and surrounding areas. There are two fabulous farmers markets going on right now. One on Friday…See More

Hi Lisa, Were you able to open the meal planning file? I had a hard time opening it. So I rescanned it @ a smaller resolution but the file size wasn't any smaller. So I'm just wondering if you had any trouble. Gina

Thank you for the birthday wishes! Are you related to Jason Orme from Shelley? I used to work with him and I was roommates with his wife Cindy. Wouldn't that be crazy? I think your kids are the cutest! You must be a hair stylist on the side…

About Me:
I am married to Dave Woods and we own Woods Gardens a small home grown truck garden. Dave is a wonderful gardener and works very hard. He has 4 greenhouses and raises the best produce around. We have strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries as well as asparagus and tomaotes and cucumbers. We do a Farmers Market in Rexburg and one in Idaho Falls on Friday's and Saturdays from May - November. I work full time at the Idaho National Laboratory as a computer security officer. My time is limited and I usually only make it to Sacrament meetings.

Hi Lisa - I've just sent you a massive reply to your post on my profile page, and now have reason to believe it might have gone to the big CyberBlackHole somewhere in the universe - but thanks for missing me up front today. As I said in the errant message floating around somewhere, I really didn't miss being up front - much funner to glue suckers to scripture cards as a reward for class members to get them to participate in the lesson in Gospel Doctrine - oh, and playing with Kru was fun as well. I don't expect that my calling as GD teacher will be all that fun in the future - but as "they" say, "this, too, will pass"!

And, by the way, I'm still faithfully keeping my Gratitude Journal every day. You'll be in today's entry - thanks!!
