Woods gardens has petunias - we've never done flowers before, but we were helping out a school that had a funding cut and lost all their power and water - so we bought all of their petunias - they are only $12.00 a flat - it's almost like stealing them.
We should have cucumbers and tomatoes within the next month. YEAH, can't wait!
Just a general invitation to all of you in Rexburg and Idaho Falls and surrounding areas. There are two fabulous farmers markets going on right now. One on Friday nights from 4-8 in Rexburg in the tabernacle parking lot. And one in Idaho Falls by the Key Bank Parking lot on the river on Saturdays from 9-1. Both markets have dedicated produce growers that bring their fresh picked vegetables and fruit to the markets. The prices are comparable to the grocery stores and bountiful basket and you get produce that you know where it came from and that you are familiar with. They have great music and if you just want a nice atmospehre to walk around and meet old friends, this is the place. There are many food vendors there, so if you are hungry, stop in and have a bite. Hope to see you there. Both markets run until the end of October.
If you want to be on my e-mail list, so you know what Woods Gardens is going to bring at the market, just send me a note to law@fairpoint.net and I'll add you to the list.
It's a great thing - keep your money home, support the local growers.
